ONWRD announces a brand-new Mobility offering with the launch of its Journey subscription service. A safe, convenient, and easy way to arrange on-demand and prebooked Taxi and Chauffeur services, all over the UK.
Commenting on the launch, ONWRD Managing Director, Mark Thompson shared the AAM Group’s vision for holding technology, customer service and meaningful solutions at the heart of their offering.
“Pre-pandemic, UK businesses were spending an estimated £3 billion per year on taxi journeys and, as business travel continues to increase, this spend will increase in proportion to other modes of Mobility.
We know that the availability of rental vehicles has been severely impacted, above all for short notice, short duration hires, as suppliers are unable to fulfil with limited fleets. And disruptions and cancellations across the rail network makes that an unreliable, not to mention expensive option for many.
With company car ownership on the decline, giving customers access to a UK-wide network of hundreds of thousands of fully vetted vehicles and drivers makes complete sense. Customers already work with ONWRD because we take away all of the headaches and leg work involved in keeping their staff on the move through vehicle rental and subscription. The ONWRD Journey service does just the same, but with journeys of just a few minutes or miles.
The solution provides real time tracking and communication, ensuring passengers can see the exact whereabouts of the driver and companies can track whether their passenger has been collected. CO2 emissions are tracked and reported and invoices for the journey are sent directly to the company, so costs are transparent. Research has highlighted that the average expense claim is inflated by 23% due to tips and even fraud. In the current economic climate, for employees to have to pay and reclaim, waiting up to 8 weeks for payment, our solution reduces that administrative burden.”
To deliver its exciting new proposition, ONWRD has partnered with Jyrney, a transformative Mobility platform, to ensure that customers can access onward travel, even if just for an hour, a mile, a few days or over several years.
Daniel Price, co-founder and CEO of Jyrney said “we are delighted to be working alongside ONWRD and AAM Group on the first of a number of exciting projects. Mark was one of the first in the fleet sector to approach us with an idea to bring the concept of onward transportation to their customer base, saving time, costs and expense claim processes.. Jyrney complements that thinking with proprietary technology, bringing the supplier network and customer together on to a single platform and easily integrated API.”
AAM Group company ONWRD launched in April this year and has already achieved strong growth and developments including the completion of Alliance Rental’s incorporation into the business, with overall vehicles on rent up by 22%.ONWRD has also delivered a wide range of Hybrids, PHEV’s and BEV’s under its e-FLEX product, including Electric Vans.
